Omics Analysis Support
User Guide
To advance omics research in medical science, the Advanced Research Center for Innovations in Next-Generation Medicine (INGEM) has established a robust infrastructure for various metabolome and proteome analyses using mass spectrometry, as well as microbiome analysis via next-generation sequencing. We provide comprehensive support for researchers all over Japan.
Metabolome Analysis Support
Service Details
We can extract metabolite from user-provided biological specimens and perform metabolomic analysis using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. Our services include absolute quantification using targeted analysis kits and non-targeted analysis. We also support the development of new measurement systems and provide consultation on sample collection, storage, and data analysis methods.
These services are registered with the Tohoku University Core Facility Center (CFC). Please apply through the System for Harmonizing Academic Resource and Equipment (SHARE) management system.

Details about the mass spectrometers for the analyses are written in Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization (ToMMo) webpage.

Proteome Analysis Support
Service Details
We provide protein extraction, sample preparation, and proteome analysis using nano-liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. We also support the development of new measurement systems and provide consultation on sample collection, storage, and data analysis methods.

Metagenome Analysis Support (Campus Only)
Service Details
We provide metagenomic DNA extraction, 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing (V4 and V3-V4 regions), and microbiome analysis using bioinformatics approaches. In collaboration with the biobank section, we also provide consultation on sample collection, storage, and data analysis methods.

Equipment
Metagenomic sequencing analysis is performed using Mi-seq sequencer at Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization (ToMMo).
